| COURSE OFFERINGS Coaching Universal Enhancement In Place - Just In Time (IP-JIT) Training (Onsite) |
Training is conducted primarily onsite where services and supports are delivered. Coaching of direct contact staff includes modeling preferred behavior, reinforcing (celebrating) staff for preferred interactions, prompting staff to demonstrate preferred behavior. Coaching is focused to assist staff in formulating a vision of how they should perform their roles to maximize the quality of interactions and enhance the effectiveness of supported routines. During the onsite coaching session, it is essential that designated management and clinical staff be present to observe and carefully note the coaching activity. It is the dual purpose of the coaching activity to demonstrate for management and clinical staff best practice coaching strategies they can use with their staff. Following the onsite coaching activity, an offsite session is held to analyze the onsite training. The post analysis off-site session includes a detailing of management and clinical follow-up, which should be considered to improve the quality of life for consumers (i.e., schedules, activities, materials, etc.). |
