| COURSE OFFERINGS A Scenario Approach To Active Learning |
A Scenario Approach to Active Learning (SAAL) is a dynamic and structured system of instruction. Scenarios are scripted lesson plans that provide the instructor with specific direction regarding: functional outcomes, instructional materials and equipment deployment, activity duration and location, as well as detailed training procedures. Workshop attendees receive instruction in writing scenarios that are: meaningful, functional, and age appropriate. The SAAL is ideally suited for those day program and residential settings serving individuals who are significantly cognitively and behaviorally challenged. The SAAL assures a high level of meaningful engagement utilizing a low cost/no cost instructional approach. Additionally, workshop attendees receive highly effective quality assurance protocols to assure that the SAAL maintains its effectiveness and efficiency overtime. |
