| COURSE OFFERINGS Universal Enhancement: Train the Trainer |
This intensive two-day workshop is designed for staff that
are highly motivated in training others in the principles and
practices of Universal Enhancement. All participants are
required to have attended at least one session of Universal
Enhancement Day One. Completion of Universal
Enhancement Day Two is preferred. Participants are
instructed on a variety of methods and approaches to
facilitate the use of Universal Enhancement tools. The
session enables the participant to utilize tales and maxims to
inspire and motivate staff. The historical models of service
delivery to people with intellectual disabilities are reviewed.
The positive contributions as well as the aberrant
consequences of each of the service models are assessed in
terms of their impact upon current practices. This session is
highly interactive, requiring the participants to share their
interpretation of the hundreds of Universal Enhancement
transparencies.
